Based in Hamilton, Ontario, I am a visual storyteller who uses a 70-year-old vintage film camera—a three-generation family heirloom—to document the journey of my wooden companion, Sol, in our shared quest to capture the authentic soul of places.
My current film setup is built around a Braun Paxette Super III Automatic, a classic rangefinder equipped with a waist-level viewfinder for a unique shooting experience. The real star of the show, however, is the vintage Steinheil Quinon 50mm f/1.9 lens, renowned for its beautiful rendering. To complete this fully manual workflow, I rely on a classic Zeiss Ikophot handheld light meter for accurate exposure readings. Captured on Kodak Ektar 100, a film stock known for its exceptionally fine grain and vivid, saturated colors.
